The Xiaomi Poco F1 was launched in India in August 2018, bringing over the then-flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and other flagship-grade specifications for a starting price of just ₹20,999 (~$300)! In order to win over more consumers who may find the lack of an app drawer on MIUI disconcerting, Xiaomi also released a new launcher in the form of the POCO Launcher, which was subsequently made available for other devices on the Google Play Store.
The latest update to Poco Launcher brings over dark mode for the app drawer and the launcher settings menu, as well as other changes.

The complete changelog for the update is as follows:
- Fix the bug of icon pack with white background.
- Dark mode! Yay!
- You can add custom apps to App vault shortcuts now.
- Double tapping the screen to lock device works on all compatible models now.
- Icons got crisper and prettier!
- We fixed the bugs that slowed down the UI. Now it’s more responsive.
- We fixed multiple minor bugs as well.
The new theme can be easily accessed through the launcher settings, a shortcut for which exists as the top right icon within the app drawer. Select “Backgrounds”, which should open up the selection screen between Light and Dark themes. The theme that you choose affects the app drawer background, the background for the App Vault feature and the launcher settings menu. You can also adjust the app drawer transparency here, setting it up all the way up to 100% to view your glorious wallpaper even in the app drawer.
Ironically, the Poco F1 does not have a system-wide dark mode yet in the Stable or Open Beta MIUI 10 builds, despite the common changelog of the latest Beta mentioning the rollout of the same. Now that the default launcher on the Poco F1 has a dark theme, maybe the device will see the same love soon?
