For some time now rumors have flown that Microsoft was preparing to release a new disc-less version of the Xbox One, and during today’s episode of Inside Xbox, they confirmed it. The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition comes out next month, and you can pre-order the new hardware from the Xbox Store and other select retailers now. Microsoft released a quirky trailer for the new hardware, which highlights the fact that the only real difference between the standard Xbox One S and the All-Digital version is the disc drive (or lack thereof). As has already been leaked, the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition comes with 1TB of space, and three games pre-installed (Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 3, and Minecraft). As a nice bonus, those who buy the system can get three months of Xbox Game Pass for only $1. Here’s the official rundown:

And now, the moment of truth – the price. The Xbox One S All-Digital Edition will cost $250, which is technically $50 less than most Xbox One S bundles, but the S is frequently on sale. I see it for $250 more often than not. Ah, but there’s good news – Microsoft wants to keep the $50 price gap between the new and older Xbox, so when the standard S goes on sale, the All-Digital version will always be $50 cheaper. In other words, it should be fairly easy to get an All-Digital Xbox for $200.
