Switch Between Imperial or Metric Units in Measure App for iPhone and iPad

Want to switch between Imperial or Metric measurement units in Measure app for iPhone and iPad? Here’s how you do it.

Depending on where you live in the world, there are two types of measurement systems in use – Imperial or Metric. Obviously, you’re accustomed to one more than the other so it’s obvious that you stick to that for the sake of ease. The metric system is the one where you take measurements in centimeter, meter, etc. while the imperial system uses inches, feet and so on.

If you are an avid user of the Measure app for iOS, then obviously you need to take measurements of stuff around you in the measurement unit you grew up with. So, in today’s guide we’ll show you how you can switch between Imperial or Metric units in the Measure app.

1. Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.

2. Scroll down and find the Measure app entry. Tap to open it up.

3. There are only two options here: Imperial and Metric. Select the one which you like to use and just close the Settings app, that’s all.

When you launch Measure app, all the measurements will now appear in the system you’ve select in Settings. If you like to switch again, then you have to go through the process outlined above again. In all honesty, it would’ve been easier if Apple thew in a switch in the app itself to allow switching between the two systems on the fly. This would’ve allowed a lot of people to make conversions of measurements they’ve taken without doing any sort of web searches or running a quick formula. But it seems as though Apple’s software team believes that no one is going to convert anything anyway so why bother.

Just be glad that this app was not made by EA otherwise switching between systems would’ve been a gut-wrenching in-app purchase, probably every single time.
