The company has 217 million monthly active users and the 100 million paid subscribers after year-over-year growth. Spotify also brought to light that it has more than 20,000 teams working under Spotify for Podcasters. In addition, Spotify’s podcast library holds an impressive 250k+ title. The music streaming service has seen tremendous growth in its subscriber count. This is due to the fact that it started offering free Google Home Mini during the Holiday quarter in the United States. The response from customers was so overwhelming that Spotify introduced the same offer in the UK and France. Other than this, Spotify also provided free six months of subscription to Galaxy S10 owners in the United States.
Overall, the company’s series of promotions lead it to gain a significant portion of the market share and a hefty subscriber count. Apple Music, on the other hand, features 50 million paid subscribers at the moment, resting on the second position.
