New OnePlus Device Allegedly Titled OnePlus 7 Pro Sports No Notch and Has Curved Side Edges in Latest Images

OnePlus 7 Pro alleged images leaked

Most of you know by now that OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus 7 later this year, along with a 5G model. While there are hardly any details surrounding the 5G version, a new leak allegedly shows a couple of images. One of those images shows a smartphone called OnePlus 7 Pro, which is a rather strange name because the company has never used the name ‘Pro’ in any of its models before. Its design is also a lot different than what OnePlus has been churning out these past couple of years, so let us check these images out in more detail.

OnePlus 7 Pro Alleged Hardware Specifications Also Provided – Could Be the 5G Model the Company Was Talking About Earlier

According to two images leaked via Weibo, the OnePlus 7 Pro will have curved side edges, similar to what Samsung and Huawei employ on their devices to increase the overall aesthetic score of their devices. There’s no notch, and there’s a chin bezel, meaning that OnePlus might rely on a pop-up selfie camera. However, there’s something interesting present in the second image, if you look closely. Even though the name of the smartphone is OnePlus 7 Pro, there’s an image of the OnePlus 6T where the hardware specifications are detailed.

The details read a massive 6.67-inch Optic AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon 855, a triple rear camera sensor, 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device where all these hardware specifications are listed shows a teardrop notch at the top center of the display, showing that it is undoubtedly the OnePlus 6T. It is strange why they wouldn’t add an image of the OnePlus 7 Pro rather than placing a press render of the OnePlus 6T, but hopefully, those changes will be implemented soon.

If you want to experience 5G connectivity on a OnePlus smartphone, you’ll have to cough up some extra cash for that. According to the company’s CEO, customers should expect to pay between $200-$300 more than what they paid for the OnePlus 6T if they want to experience what it’s like to use a 5G smartphone. OnePlus also stated that the 5G-ready handset will arrive during the end of May this year, so we’ll keep you posted on the latest info in the near future.
