Mortal Kombat 11 Goes Green Instead of Red With All-New Earth Warrior, Cetrion

Mortal Kombat 11 has revealed its second all-new character (after the time-controlling Geras), and she bears more than a passing resemblance to Batman villain Poison Ivy. The new Kombatant Cetrion is described as an Elder Goddess, and seems to have a special connection with the Earth, unleashing plant, rock, and elemental-based attacks. Cetrion doesn’t look particularly fast or agile, but she doesn’t have to be, as she seems to have a large variety of ranged attacks. Honestly, she looks a bit OP, but I’ll reserve judgement until I actually get to play as her. You can check out the Cetrion debut trailer, below.

Well, that’s quite the Fatality! Why doesn’t Cetrion just start the fight planet sized? Also, why isn’t Cetrion’s name spelled “Ketrion”? Overall, the character kind of feels like a stowaway from the Injustice games. Cetrion joins 20 other confirmed MK11 fighters, including Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax, Noob Saibot, Kotal Kahn, Jacqui Briggs, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Kano, Kabal, D’Vorah, Jade, Johnny Cage, new character Geras, and DLC fighter, Shang Tsung. Of course, those are only the ones NetherRealm has officially announced – the game’s full launch roster seemingly leaked earlier this month. Get the full rundown here.
