Apple is most likely to show off the next version of macOS this year at the Worldwide Developer Conference. As the gap nears in, we’re hearing more details on what the new build will have in store for users. According to the latest, the macOS 10.15 will feature a brand new feature which will enable iPad users to use their device an external display. Le’s dive in to see some more details on the matter.

According to a report from 9to5mac, Apple is working on introducing a new feature which will allow iPad owners to use their device as an external display. However, the device should be connected to the Mac physically. Internally, Apple is referring to the feature as “Sidecar”. In addition to this, the new feature will be part of the mix as the company’s efforts in windows management.

The feature will allow users to hover over the maximize button on windows which will pop up a number of different options. For instance, there will be new features like the tiling option, a standard full-screen, and the ability to send the window over to a secondary external display. This means that there will be no need to drag and drop the window over to the secondary display. Furthermore, it seems Apple is also working to introduce an option which will allow the window to snap to the side of the display. This is something similar to Microsoft’s implementation in Windows 10.

Apart from this, Apple Pencil support on the iPad will still be applicable, which connected to the Mac. However, which iPad models will support the options is unclear at this point. There will be more to the story, so be sure to stay tuned in for more details.
