Verizon has announced that 20 more cities will be getting the carrier’s millimeter wave 5G Ultra Wideband coverage by the end of this year. The service is already available in Chicago and Minneapolis and now Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Washington DC will also get 5G.

To help customers prepare themselves with increased speeds, the carrier has also started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S10 5G. It is larger than the Galaxy S10 Plus, and more importantly, it is the only member in the Galaxy S10 family to be compatible with Verizon’s 5G networks. Unfortunately, it also carries a high price, which you’ll soon find out as to continue to read on.

Verizon Has Provided Several Offers Which Will Make It Easier for the Customer to Justify a Galaxy S10 5G – Freebies and Trade-in Deals Provided

The Galaxy S10 5G is priced at $1299, which amounts to a monthly payment of $54.16 for a two-year contract. You can also get up to $450 for trade-ins on eligible devices and a $200 prepaid MasterCard for switching to Verizon, buying the Galaxy S10 5G, and registering for Verizon Unlimited. The $10 monthly 5G Ultra Wideband access fee will also be waved and customers will also get the Samsung Wireless Charging Battery Pack and Samsung Galaxy Buds for free. The phone will be available to purchase from Verizon stores from May 16.

The Galaxy S10 5G sports a 6.7-inch display and packs in a gigantic 4500mAh battery. There is a quad camera setup on the back and the maxed out variant of the phone has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal memory. In comparison, the maxed out version of the Galaxy S10 Plus features 1TB of internal storage, 12GB of RAM and a whopping $1599 price. The 5G model from Samsung has an additional camera at the back, a bigger screen which inherently means a bigger battery, but not the same amount of RAM and memory.

In addition to the 5G variant of the Galaxy S10, Samsung will also be selling a 5G variant of the Galaxy Fold in select markets, provided it’s able to resolve the screen issues. Moreover, the company is also expected to release a 5G variant of the Note 10, showing the Korean giant’s commitment towards adopting a new wireless standard with its device launches.

If you want to pre-order the Galaxy S10 5G, you can head to Verizon’s landing page and secure yourself one.
