Samsung released a 5G variant of the Galaxy S10 this year so it would be very unlikely that the Galaxy Note 10 will not come with 5G support. However, while there were rumors stating 5G support for the Note 10, it wasn’t information that was confirmed by Samsung or its carrier partners, until now. The news has now been confirmed by Verizon CEO Hans Vestberg, who reportedly said during the carrier’s Q1 2019 quarterly earnings call that the Galaxy Note 10 will have 5G support. For those that want to futureproof themselves for the 5G era might want to look into this purchase if they haven’t already invested in a flagship.
The Galaxy Note 10 Reportedly Arriving in Two Display Sizes; Not Confirmed if Both Variants Will Get 5G Support
5G is the talk of the town these days but it is also a well-known fact that the technology wouldn’t become ubiquitous until later this year, as admitted by the proponents of the next generation of wireless technology themselves. The Galaxy S10 5G and the LG G8 ThinQ are two phones that are already confirmed to come to Verizon, as well as AT&T, and most likely to T-Mobile and Sprint later on as well. Customers who want to get a taste of 5G speeds right now can also buy the Moto Z3, but they will need to purchase a separate Moto Mod for that.
Previously, it was rumored that the Galaxy Note 10 will be available in two display sizes, a 6.28-inch, and a 6.75-inch version, and there would be an LTE as well as a 5G version of both the models. Apparently, the Galaxy Note 10 5G would be better than the Galaxy S10 5G as the technology is still new right now. The higher-end variants are also expected to come with a quadruple camera setup at the back, with Samsung rumored to incorporate slightly better sensors than what’s stocked on the Galaxy S10 5G.
While the bit about 5G support for the Note 10 certainly seems plausible, it remains to be seen if Samsung will actually release two display variants of the Galaxy Note 10. Throw in the different memory configurations and there would be way too many Note 10 models, possibly causing confusion amongst customers. Samsung usually launches its Note series in August so we will find out more about the flagship lineup later this year.
