A large name in the PC case industry, Fractal Design, has revealed their newest additions to their lineup. The Define S2 Vision and the Dynamic X2 PWM Black. The Define S2 Vision comes in two versions: an RGB and a blacked out version. The fan is one of the few all black fans on the market.
Define S2 Vision – RGB and Blacked Out Version
According to the product page, the Define S2 Vision was designed with the goal of bringing together beauty and function. The case is a new take on one of their most popular designs so far, the S2. This case is specifically geared towards heavy cooling solution such as an open as it has 9 fan mounts on the case and pre-drilled pump mounts to make water cooling a slightly easier task. The RGB version of the case includes an installed RGB lighting strip “to create a perfect balance of lighting throughout the case”. It also comes with four Prisma RGB fans and a Nexus 9P fan hub.
The final addition to it is the option for vertical GPU mounting with the included mount. Both cases look very sleek with the tempered glass side panels. I personally prefer the blacked out version because it looks stealthy and not as flashy.
The MSRP of the RGB version is 240 U.S. dollars and the blacked out version will be 190 U.S. dollars. Pricing in a different currency is listed down at the bottom.
Dynamic X2 PWM Black – All Black Performance Case Fan
The Dynamic X2 PWM Black is one of the few all black case fans that offers great performance. This fan has PWM support which allows for more customization such as different fan curves for maximizing performance or operating silently. The speed adjustment range is between 500 RPM and 2,000 RPM. The fan has MTBF (mean time between failures) of 100,000 hours thanks to its LLS (Long Life Sleeve) bearing. The fan was designed with the Venturi high-end fan series to maximize performance will reducing sound. Its design resembles an airplane wing for its aerodynamic elements.
The case fan also comes in white and white on black. The price of the fan will 13.99 U.S. dollars for the 140mm fan and 12.99 U.S. dollars for the 120mm fan. Pricing in a different currency is listed down at the bottom.
