The Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 received a lot of attention over the past month. The jailbreak was available for all A8 through A11 devices which excluded the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and the latest 2018 iPad Pro. A few days ago, the @pwn20wnd team added support for 4K devices like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s to Unc0ver. Now, after the team’s extensive hard work, partial support for Unc0ver 3.0 has been added for A12 – A12X Bionic devices. Let’s dive in to see some more details on the matter.
Partial Support Of Unc0ver Jailbreak For iOS 12 Added For iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and the Latest iPad Pro
As we have mentioned earlier, partial support for the Unc0ver jailbreak for iOS 12 has been added for the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, and the latest iPad Pro. Partial support for Unc0ver jailbreak suggests that you can use the tool to jailbreak your A12 – 12X Bionic devices, but there’s not much you can do apart from this.
At this point in time, there is no Cydia support which means that you will not be able to install jailbreak tweaks. However, there are a set of advantages that you should consider as well. For instance, jailbreaking the device will allow it to block updates and you will be able to remount the root filesystem as RW. Furthermore, there’s no official statement from Saurik as to when Cydia might finally be available on the platform.

As of now, some iPhone XS users on iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 have reported that their devices undergo rebooting during the process of jailbreak. If you have experienced such an issue, put the device in airplane mode before starting the process. In addition to this, also make sure that no OTA file is stored on your device. If so, it will result in the device entering the respring loop.
