Samsung has been vying to regain its leadership in the budget smartphone market of India with the Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and the Galaxy M30. As a part of this effort, the company has also renewed the Galaxy A-series, with a slightly changed naming and newer Infinity displays. After launching mid-rangers Samsung Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 and budget-oriented Galaxy A10 in India, Samsung is now looking to raid the affordable flagship arena with its Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A90. The latter of the two devices will stray away from any notch and reportedly come with a pop-up camera for selfies.
A mention of the Samsung Galaxy A90 was spotted on an official webpage boasting about a “Notchless Infinity screen”. This Notchless and “ultra vibrant Super AMOLED” screen is limited to the Galaxy A90 and will account for a “super immersive” experience on the smartphone, notes the website.
While the exact replacement for a notch is not clear currently, Samsung could make use of the sliding camera mechanism, which companies like Vivo have been betting on and now bring to the mainstream with devices like the Vivo V15 Pro and the recently launched Vivo V15. The Samsung Galaxy A90 is also likely to avoid the punch-hole design as used in the premium Samsung Galaxy S10 trio.

Samsung has confirmed a launch event for April 10, at which it might launch as many as three smartphones. The teaser can be clearly seen advertising Notchless displays, thereby giving us hope that Galaxy A90 could be among the devices launching at the event.
According to my sources, the #GalaxyA90 or #GalaxyA80 comes with a massive 6.73-inch display… No notch or hole, roughly 1.2mm bezels and 3.6mm chin… In addition, I recently heard it may support 25W fast charging…

Aside from the webpage cited above, truster leaker OnLeaks shares some information about the Galaxy A90. His claims about the Galaxy A90 include the mention of a large 6.73-inch display without any kind of a notch or punch hole disrupting the symmetry of the display. The smartphone, as per the leak, will have 1.2mm thick bezels on the longers sides on the display with a 3.6mm chin under the notchless infinity display. Furthermore, the Galaxy A90 could also support 25W fast charging.
Why do I say that the A90 is perfect? The answer is that the Galaxy A90 will be Samsung's first pop-up front camera phone, so its screen is perfect, there is no Notch, no Hole. pic.twitter.com/j01WWtPzh8

Meanwhile, another reliable leaker, Ice Universe, has reported that the Galaxy A90 will be Samsung’s first device to boast of a pop-up front-facing camera in order to avoid using any hole or notch in the display.
If you look closely, only one of the displays in the Samsung teaser above features a U-shaped notch, hinting that this could be the Samsung Galaxy A40, another budget-segment offering which could be launched by Samsung at the April 10 event. The device was leaked recently and based on information from reliable sources, we can say that it comes with an Exynos 7885 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
As for the internal specifications of the Galaxy A90, we do not know much yet but expect the details to surface before the intended launch event on April 10.
