Sekiro Shadows Die Twice New Footage Showcases High Level Play

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice

New gameplay footage emerged online for Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, the upcoming new game developed by From Software launching next week on PC and consoles.

The new footage, which can be watched by going here, has been shown during a special PlayStation Japan Countdown Live Stage Event. The footage includes a couple of boss fights as well as some high-level play from lead designer Masaru Yamamura. Gameplay starts at around the 1 hours mark of the linked video.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice is going to be a little different from the Souls series From Software is known for. The game also promises to be less obscure than the other games developed by the team, but it will also retain the same level of challenge the Souls series is known for.

In Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice you are the “one-armed wolf”, a disgraced and disfigured warrior rescued from the brink of death. Bound to protect a young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline, you become the target of many vicious enemies, including the dangerous Ashina clan. When the young lord is captured, nothing will stop you on a perilous quest to regain your honor, not even death itself.

Explore late 1500s Sengoku Japan, a brutal period of constant life and death conflict, as you come face to face with larger than life foes in a dark and twisted world. Unleash an arsenal of deadly prosthetic tools and powerful ninja abilities while you blend stealth, vertical traversal, and visceral head to head combat in a bloody confrontation.

Sekiro Shadows Die Twice launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 22nd.
