Samsung’s plan to thwart the competition from Chinese OEMs is to flood the market with its own set of options. In a short span of a few months, Samsung has announced the Samsung Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50; as well as the Samsung Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and the Galaxy M30. Unconfirmed leaks and rumors indicate that the company is also working on devices like the Samsung Galaxy A60, Galaxy A70 and more. Now, WinFuture.de brings to us clear renders and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A40, showing off several of its key specifications.
As the nomenclature would imply, the Galaxy A40 would slot in between the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50 in terms of pricing. According to the article accompanying the leaked renders, the Galaxy A40 would come in with a 5.7″ display, which is a little odd since the A30 and A50 come with 6.4″ FHD+ S-AMOLED displays. The device does retain the Infinity-U display notch for housing the front camera.
The Galaxy A40 will come with dual rear cameras and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The phone also sports a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the inside, the Samsung Galaxy A40 will employ the Exynos 7885 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. The phone will launch with Android 9 Pie underneath Samsung’s UX skin. The phone is expected around the €250 price point, and will likely be available in Black, Blue, Coral and White colors. The phone should be seeing an official release in the coming weeks.
