Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming

Thanks to faster processors and increasing RAM counts, high-end smartphones of today are well equipped to provide a worthwhile gaming experience. In fact, mobile gaming has transitioned to a stage that some manufacturers have also released gaming-centric smartphones with dedicated gaming hardware. Keeping up with these trends, the Snapdragon 855 SoC comes with a feature Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming that greatly enhances the gaming experience, and the company has detailed an extensive list of its features here.

The Snapdragon Elite Gaming Feature Will Drastically Improve Gameplay by Offering Better Graphics and Display and Improved Loading Time

Qualcomm has now detailed how this feature works in its latest press release. It is a combination of hardware and software features which optimizes gaming performance. The Vulkan 1.1 Graphics Driver provides cinema-quality graphics, giving the developers more control over the depth and details of their games to make them look more realistic. Phones with Elite Gaming also support True HDR, increasing the color gamut of the games.

Snapdragon Elite Gaming also offers powerful audio, thanks to Game Wireless Audio Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, which is a feature that synchronizes surround sound with the action being displayed on the screen. It is complemented by Qualcomm Aqstic, which amplifies every acoustic sound.

Another feature added is the Game Fast Loader, which launches games quickly. Once the app starts running, the Game Jank Reducer feature dials down any static or stutter to make sure the game runs smoothly. This feature works with Game Q-Sync so that the display refresh rate of the phone is automatically adjusted to make sure there are no interruptions. The Game Network Latency Manager feature optimizes the phone’s setting so that the game runs more efficiently and fluidly. Snapdragon Elite Gaming also comes with anti-cheat extensions to prevent anyone from hacking the game and gaining an edge through illicit means.

Qualcomm also provides more details on its Quick Charge 4+ technology, which can top up your phone up to 50 percent in just 15 minutes. This will ensure that your long gaming sessions aren’t interrupted by a dying battery. It also features Dual Charge and Qualcomm Battery Saver, which prolongs the battery life while keeping the thermals in check. Thanks to the Game Console Mode, you can also cast your game on a larger display to have a more immersive gaming experience.

With the arrival of 5G, the mobile gaming landscape can significantly change in the future. Many companies, including Microsoft and Google, are also gearing up to launch their game streaming service, which will allow you to play more games on the go. Needless to say, mobile gaming is expected to get a lot more exciting in the future and with mobile chipsets improving with each passing year, we may have something to look forward to from our devices.
