Given that the OnePlus 6 was announced in May last year, the OnePlus 7 will most likely be announced in May which means the phone is likely in the prototype stage. However, specifications and images of the phone have already started leaking and the latest one comes from the retailer Giztop.
The OnePlus 7 Listing Also Reveals a Sliding Camera – Strange Design if This Turns out to Be True
Giztop has already listed the OnePlus 7 along with an image, specifications, and a price. However, we recommend that you take this information with a pinch of. First off, the image only shows the front of the phone. There is no notch in sight, which is in line with previous rumors that suggested that the phone will come with a sliding front camera. Compared to the previous OnePlus phones and the previously leaked images of the OnePlus 7, the power button is too far down in the latest image.
Moreover, the volume buttons seem really spaced, whereas the other leaked images hint at a rocker button. The render also doesn’t have an alert slider, which is surprising as it’s unlikely that OnePlus would remove it. The listing has also mentioned the alleged specifications of the phone. According to it, the OnePlus 7 will sport a 6.5-inch AMOLED display. It will allegedly be fueled by the Snapdragon 855 SoC which would be mated with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone will presumably have a triple camera system (48MP + 20MP + 5MP) on the back and a 16MP selfie camera. The listing also says the phone will run OxygenOS on top of Android 9 Pie.
The listing also alleges that the phone will pack in a generous 4000mAh battery and it will support 44W super fast Dash Charging. This bit, in particular, undermines the credibility of the whole listing. Due to a copyright claim, OnePlus isn’t allowed to state the name Dash Charge and that’s why the company calls its fast charging WARP charging. One section of the listing also calls it VOOC charging, which is OPPO’s proprietary fast charging. It is also possible that Giztop made this error, but such details will be revealed in the near future.
Lastly, the retailer has also mentioned the retail price of the OnePlus 7, $569. If the price turns out to be legit, we’ll have a terrific flagship on our hands that will go easy on the wallet compared to the other flagships. However, we recommend that you wait for more details to come forth as these can be a bit misleading.
