World War Z’s Release Date and PC Requirements Have Been Unleashed

Brace yourself for the horde, because World War Z will finally be unleashed this April. In addition to the release date, World War Z developer Saber Interactive has also revealed the game’s PC requirements. Unsurprisingly, given the game’s large hordes of zombies, World War Z requires a decent CPU is you want to play on higher settings, but your graphics card doesn’t need to be crazy – a good ol’ GeForce GTX 960 will do. You can check out a World War Z launch trailer and the game’s minimum and recommended requirements, below.

  • RAM: 8 GB
  • OS: Windows 7 and later
  • Video Card: AMD R7 240 GB / Nvidia GT 730 2GB / Intel HD 530

  • Storage: 20 GB

Haven’t been keeping up with World War Z? The game is 4-player co-op experience in the same vein as Left 4 Dead, except with huge, dynamic zombie swarms. The game also includes a PvPvE mode. Here’s the game’s official synopsis:

Powered by Saber’s dynamic Swarm Engine, World War Z unleashes hundreds of fast-moving, bloodthirsty zombies at a time on players in a nail-biting action experience around the world, including New York, Moscow, Jerusalem and more. Play in co-op with up to 3 friends using six distinct classes and an arsenal of deadly weapons, explosives, turrets and traps to demolish the undead menace and survive another day.

I’ve had a chance to go hands-on with World War Z, and trust me, the game is surprisingly fun. If you’ve got a few extra minutes, you can learn about World War Z’s zombie types, ties to the movies, and more in Wccftech’s full interview.

World War Z shambles onto PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on April 16.
