OPPO is fairly popular in China and India and ranks among the top five smartphone brands in both countries. With its new offshoot – Realme – rapidly gaining its own share of popularity in India’s mid-range market, OPPO is concentrating on its chief prowess, i.e. photography. Official teasers now confirm that OPPO is bringing a new smartphone with a 48MP camera to India soon.
OPPO has started teasing the F11 Pro through its global as well as the Indian Twitter handle, flaunting that the smartphone comes with a 48MP dual camera on the back. The global handle shared a 6-second video which touts the F11 Pro’s ability to take “brilliant” portrait shots, even in low light. The Indian handle, on the other hand, used an image to depict the OPPO F11 Pro’s back with a color gradient shifting between blue and red.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

The F11 Pro is likely to succeed the F9 Pro and OPPO seems to be avoiding the number “10”, perhaps, to refrain from any confusion with last year’s Find X. Given the smartphone comes with a 48MP sensor, OPPO could choose between the Sony IMX586 and the Samsung ISOCELL GM1 sensors. Moreover, the stress on low-light photography indicates the use of pixel binning technology, just like the Honor View 20 and Redmi Note 7.
OPPO has refrained from sharing the smartphone’s official launch date, but tipster Ishan Agarwal tweeted that bookings for the OPPO F11 Pro will commence on February 22 in India. He added that the launch may take place on a later date. Besides sharing these details, Agarwal also shared an image of the two possible color variants. While one has a similar violet gradient visible in the teaser, the other is chiefly blue.
I got some exclusive detail regarding OPPO F11 Pro…. Bookings in India will start On 22th February. Launch should later than that date! Like the phone? pic.twitter.com/mPgP2pCKlk

The handsets in Agarwal’s leak have fingerprint scanners on the back. This means that the F11 Pro will not come with an in-display fingerprint scanner, unlike the OPPO K1 launched recently in India. These handsets resemble the unknown OPPO smartphone which was leaked last month. Said device also had a pop-up selfie camera rising through the center of the smartphone.
Coming to the Super Night Mode on the F11 Pro, Gadgets360 notes that the mode utilizes OPPO’s AI “Ultra-Clear Engine” which helps in recognizing the scene, optimizing colors in the dark, and guaranteeing that the images are stabilized even without sufficient lighting.
While official information on the F11 Pro is limited, 91Mobiles shared the first press renders of the device just last week. The renders show no notches or cutouts for the selfie camera, indicating that OPPO would choose a pop-up selfie camera. The source confirms this, adding that the F11 Pro will feature a 32MP pop-up selfie camera, just like we saw in last month’s leak mentioned above. This is the same selfie sensor we can expect on the Vivo V15 Pro launching in India next week. Additionally, the F11 Pro will reportedly come with a “high-end” MediaTek SoC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage.
There is no information on the pricing available yet but we can expect it to be well under ₹30,000 (~$425).
