With the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 looming, there’s not much left to speculate about. We already know the camera specifications of all three devices set to launch, along with renders and other specifications too. Samsung puts it best: “We know you know what’s coming soon.” The company has opened up pre-orders in the US with trade-ins that will knock up to $550 off the asking price. Eligible devices include smartphones from Samsung, Apple, LG, Google, and Motorola. You can choose the carrier that you’ll get your device from as well, with all major US carriers supported. You can even get it unlocked, though it’s assumed that’ll cost more.
All three variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10 are getting revealed on February 20th at Samsung Unpacked 2019, alongside the foldable phone that the company has had in the works for years and possibly the Galaxy Watch Active. You can reserve your pre-order now, along with a trade-in that will have the device delivered to you by March 8th. On top of that, you’ll even get $50 of credit to use to purchase accessories.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 is going to be Samsung’s mainstay flagship for 2019, with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 system-on-chip in CDMA markets and the company’s own Exynos 9820 to be used in all other regions. There are no pre-order offers for the foldable phone, though that’s no surprise given that we’ve learned its price may already be very steep. It’s not really aimed at the general consumer, being more of a proof of concept technology at the moment.
The list of trade-in phones from Samsung goes all the way back to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, which will knock $150 off of the asking price, Devices from other manufacturers are equally as generous, with the original Google Pixel even being an option that will also drop the price by $150. More recent flagships will allow you to avail of the $550 off, making these smartphones much more affordable. Sadly, this offer is only available in the US, though international readers may have luck checking to see if there is a trade-in offer in their region, too.
