The Samsung Galaxy S10 family was finally announced today. Most of the attention has been on the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and Galaxy S10e, but they also talked about a fourth member. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G was shown off and it will be coming a little later this year. Verizon will be the first carrier in the U.S. to get the phone and many other carriers around the globe will follow.
The Galaxy S10 5G is the most specced out member of the bunch. It has a larger 6.7-inch Infinity-O AMOLED display, 4,500 mAh battery, quadruple rear cameras, and Super Fast Charging at 25W. The other specs are in line with the Galaxy S10+ (full specs below). The real story here is 5G. Samsung says you’ll be able to download a “full season of a TV show in minutes, play graphics-rich cloud games with virtually no lag, enjoy enhanced VR and AR experiences, and stay in touch with friends and family via real-time 4K video calls.
Verizon will be the exclusive carrier to offer the Galaxy S10 in the U.S. at launch, but that won’t last too long. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Spectrum Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile will get the device later in the Summer. Samsung has also partnered with carriers across Europe. Deutsche Telekom, EE (UK), Orange (France), Sunrise (Switzerland), Swisscom (Switzerland), TIM (Italy), Vodafone, and Telefonica (Spain) will also get the device sometime this Summer. We still don’t how much the 5G phone will cost or even exactly where 5G coverage will be offered, but there’s still time to wait.
