After a long time since its announcement, Kingdom Hearts III is finally available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While no official announcement has been made regarding a release on other platforms, it seems like it is definitely possible.
Speaking with Famitsu, Kingdom Hearts III director Tetsuya Nomura revealed that it is possible to release the game on Nintendo Switch as well as other hardware, most likely referring to PC. Now that the game is released, the team is starting to think about where to go next and reach a new audience, so releases on other platforms are starting to get considered.
As most Square Enix big titles have seen a PC release in recent times, there’s a very good chance that Kingdom Hearts III will also be released on PC, which would also mark the series’ debut on the platform. With the Nintendo Switch being considerably less powerful than the PS4 and Xbox One, it will be interesting to see how the team would manage to get the game running on Nintendo’s console.
Kingdom Hearts III is the latest entry in the series and the final game focusing on the battle against Xehanort. Once again, Sora, Donald, and Goofy will travel to several worlds inspired by Disney properties like Toy Story, Frozen, Tangled and more.
KINGDOM HEARTS III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure. Set in a vast array of Disney and Pixar worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS follows the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power. Kingdom Hearts III is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in all regions.
