Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 gets an Android Pie beta in India through the Beta Power User Program

Asus has been finding a lot of success in India with its recent ZenFone Max Pro series. The Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 was widely hailed as a very competitive product against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. Similarly, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 has turned out to be another popular choice for consumers not interested in the Xiaomi ecosystem and still looking for a value purchase.

Now, Asus has launched the Beta Power User Program, giving access to early updates for feedback and consumer testing. This way, interested power users who do not mind using beta software can try out the latest release before it rolls out to the public, and Asus can spot more bugs before a wider public rollout. This Beta Power User Program is now open for the ZenFone Max Pro M2, allowing power users access to the official Android Pie update in the form of a beta.

The Beta Power User Program is currently restricted to Max Pro M2 users only. Asus has also clarified that there will be no downgrade services for beta power users, unless the user wants to quit the program (i.e. move back to stable), so you can’t really downgrade into a previous beta officially. And of course, the update is a beta update, so there will be bugs. But you know that already, don’t you?

If you own a ZenFone Max Pro M2, are willing to share your IMEI, Serial Number and current firmware number to Asus to enable the beta test, and are willing to share feedback with Asus, you can sign up for the program by following this link. Asus will send out an email to users who get selected for the same.
