Slightly Mad Studios, the team behind the Project CARS series, surprised gamers all over the world recently by announcing a brand new console, currently known as the Mad Box, which will launch in the next three years. A few hours ago, CEO Ian Bell spoke more about the upcoming console, how easy it will be to develop for it and more.
According to Ian Bell, developers won’t have any trouble developing for the Mad Box, as it will be “very easy” to develop for. Additionally, the team’s cross-platform free technology will also make it easy to develop for other consoles and PC.
No excessive out of pocket expense. It will be very easy to develop for. And with our cross platform free technology, very easy to develop for other consoles and PC.

Ian Bell has also been asked about security, and it seems like Slightly Mad is being serious about the matter, as the Mad Box will have the same level of protection the big names have right now.

Lastly, it seems like the upcoming console has already attracted the attention of serious investors. According to Ian Bell, there are three large conglomerates who are ready to fund the whole project. Nothing has been decided so far, however, as talks are still ongoing.
We're open to all serious investors. But we have 3 large conglomerates each ready to fund the whole project that we're in talks with.
