Galaxy S10 Lineup

With Samsung’s global smartphone market share at 19 percent for the Q3 2018 period according to Counterpoint Research, the Korean behemoth will not want to waste precious time in getting its Galaxy S10 lineup to market shelves as soon as possible to increase those shipment numbers. We’ve known for a little while that Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S10 series on February 20, with a total of three variants getting unveiled during the announcement. Now, according to the latest info, the new series will arrive at the market as early as the following month after the announcement.

Samsung Might Release the Galaxy S10 Family in March, According to a Person Familiar With the Matter

According to an anonymous tipster who received the information from a Samsung representative who has had a hand in working with Galaxy S10 prototypes, the launch date of the flagship lineup is March 8. The supposed launch date is just a month after the handsets will officially be unveiled. The leaked information also states that the cheapest Galaxy S10 variant will not have ‘Lite’ in its name. Instead, it might be called the Galaxy S10E, according to the model names leaked earlier, alongside the press images.

The new phones will launch running Samsung’s new One UI and all of them will feature a 3.5mm audio jack. As for the available colors, some variants will be sold in additional models such as Blue and Yellow to garner more sales, but the regular lineup will be available in Black, White, and Sea Green. The most affordable model will feature a 5.8-inch display, with two cameras at the back. This model will come before the Galaxy S10, while the latter will have a triple camera setup at the back, and a single punch-hole camera at the front.

Last, but certainly not least, you have the Galaxy S10 Plus, which will boast a whopping five cameras in total and a 6.44-inch screen. Three cameras will be mounted a the back, while a dual selfie shooter will be located at the front. The 5G-ready variant of this smartphone will reportedly sport a generous 5000mAh battery, while the non-5G version is expected to sport a 4100mAh cell.

Apart from these three devices, we’ve found out that the company’s foldable smartphone will also make an appearance at the launch event, but it’s not confirmed if the same device will be sold from March 8 onwards. This about wraps up what we can tell you about Samsung’s upcoming lineup and if you’re excited about it, let us know down in the comments on what you think about the launch date.
