Samsung Galaxy Note 8 users in India and South Korea were treated yesterday by Samsung, as the company opened up its public beta program for One UI based on Android Pie for the Note 8. Now, Samsung has began sign-ups for One UI Beta (Android Pie) for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ as well.
The news does not really come as a complete surprise for Galaxy S8 and S8+ users. Previously, we had shown how to install a closed One UI Beta (Android Pie) build for both, the S8 and the S8+, but these were available only for the Snapdragon variants then. The existence of the builds confirmed that Samsung was indeed working on bringing the latest version of Android to its previous flagship users.

The notice for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ One UI beta went live in the Samsung Members app in the Indian region. Since the Galaxy Note 8 beta was released for South Korea and the United Kingdoms in addition to India, we expect the same to happen for these two devices as well.
Users interested in being a part of the beta program can register through the Samsung Members app. The beta firmware versions are G950FXXU4ZSA5 for the Galaxy S8 and G955FXXU4ZSA5 for the Galaxy S8+.
Keep in mind that the One UI Beta program is just that — a beta program. While you do get the opportunity to try out the latest firmware release from Samsung, with its revamped UI and host of new features, before it is rolled out to the public, keep in mind that this comes with the risk of system instability and broken features. The feedback received through this Beta program will be used to work upon the Stable builds, which isn’t expected to land before Q2 2019.
