The OPPO R15 Pro is solidified as a decent mid-range smartphone, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 certainly no slouch. VOOC fast charging is similar to OnePlus’ Dash Charge, but it’s not as fast as OPPO’s Super VOOC or OnePlus’ Warp Charge 30. The 1080p AMOLED display is perfect for all of your average media consumption needs, and can also help hide the notch if you aren’t a fan. It has a dual camera setup on the back comprised of a 16MP shooter and a 20MP shooter, both with an aperture of f/1.7. Camera hardware isn’t everything, but this particular device is off to a good start. On top of that, it also packs a 20MP selfie camera.

The device does have its pitfalls, most notably launching with Android 8.0 Oreo. It’s an odd choice, given that Android Pie is out and that it hasn’t even got Android 8.1 Oreo. The company hasn’t said anything about an upgrade to Android Pie. However, the Oppo R15 Pro actually manages to avoid another common pitfall and does include a headphone jack alongside its USB-C port. This could definitely be a device worth looking at if you’re in the market for a new smartphone. With a large battery, fast charging, decent chipset, and a headphone jack, the Oppo R15 Pro is definitely a solid mid-range contender. The only problem may be its price, given that it has to compete with the likes of Xiaomi whilst costing a whole lot more.
