Yuzu, the Nintendo Switch emulator for PC, is continuing to make progress at breakneck speed. The latest ‘Canary’ build (version 1814) has boosted performance in games like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon Let’s Go, Splatoon 2 and others by nearly double the speed.
We don’t have to take the developer’s word for it because BSoD Gaming already published a video analysis of this new Yuzu build. With his build (i7 8700K @5.0GHz, 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz RAM, GTX 1080Ti 11GB, 256GB NVME M.2 SSD), he reported frame rate boosts ranging from 40 to 100 percent, depending on the game.
Of course, there’s a lot to be done before Yuzu can catch up to the progress of Cemu, the excellent Wii U emulator for PC we’ve previously covered on Wccftech. Then again, it is progressing faster than Cemu did, and we’ll make sure to keep you apprised of the most significant breakthroughs.
