As we get closer to their launch, Samsung is testing the Galaxy S10 smartphones in full flow. Just a while back, a GeekBench score for Qualcomm’s ‘msmnle’ or the Snapdragon 855 surfaced on GeekBench. Then, yesterday, Ice_Universe corroborated earlier rumors for the Galaxy S10 Lite’s processors. The S10 Lite is rumored as Samsung’s entry-level Galaxy S10 which will serve to broaden the lineup’s market appeal. Today, we’ve got a benchmark which support’s Ice_Universe’s claim. Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Surfaces On GeekBench And Scores 6299 Points In Multi-Core Results
The race to 7nm processors on smartphones is on, and right now, it’s Apple whose in the lead. The Cupertino tech giant’s product cycle allowed it to gain a periodic advantage over Android smartphones (with the exception of Huawei). Now, Samsung is busy to ensure that its upcoming gadgets live up to expectations and entice users to upgrade.
Speaking of upgrades, the Galaxy S10 Lite will be geared to meet this objective. The smartphone will be a stripped down Galaxy S10 variant, but we’ll get to this later. Right now, you need to take a look at the S10 Lite’s first GeekBench score. Since the smartphone is under testing, looks like. Samsung’s taking a look at something else than the gadget’s performance today.
The Galaxy S10 Lite scores 1986 points in single and 6266 points in the multi-core tests conducted by GeekBench. These are far beyond both the Snapdragon 855’s and 7nm’s true capacity. Of course, the principle remains that the less Samsung focuses on performance, the more battery juice it can conserve with the Snapdragon 855. The SoC’s variant powering today’s smartphone is the same one used by Samsung for the Galaxy S10, as we discussed earlier. Both these chips are dubbed as ‘msmnle’, and both have ‘ARM implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 13 part 2052 revision 14′ as their identifier.
Returning to how the Galaxy S10 Lite will be a stripped-down Galaxy S10 variant, Samsung is rumored to introduce several new features on the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+. These include virtual fingerprint recognition and brand new displays. The S10 Lite will not feature virtual fingerprint recognition, and the smartphone will only come with a ‘flat’ variant of Samsung’s latest Infinity-O panels*. Additionally, we’re still a bit skeptical about virtual fingerprint recognition for the Galaxy S10, as Samsung has more issues to contend with regarding the feature’s different parameters than others such as Xiaomi and OnePlus have to.
