The Witcher 3 Nintendo Switch Looks Rather Good In Brand New Docked Footage

The Witcher 3

The Witcher 3 launches on Nintendo Switch only next week, but some lucky players managed to snatch an early copy of the game and share some brand new footage of the game.

The new footage, which can be watched below, shows how the game runs in docked mode, and it looks rather good, considering how the Nintendo console is not as powerful as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's definitely impressive how CDPR and Saber Interactive managed to get the game as good as it does.

There's been a huge amount of care put into the Switch version of The Witcher 3, and it is also evident in this new version's packaging which includes a few nice goodies alongside a copy of the game. The switch version of the game is the Complete Edition, so it comes with all the released DLC, including the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions, with no additional download required.

In his preview of the game, Chris noted that The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch has been downgraded from the other releases, but it still looks and plays great.

There have been zero compromises in content, with only minor ones on visual fidelity, audio options and slower loading time than I’m used to. There’s little doubt to me that, when released, this will be the best open-world game on the Nintendo Switch and, arguably, the best game in general on the Switch. How nice it will be to the battery, well that’s something I’ll have to figure out when I have the game and I’m constantly playing it whenever I’m on the go. When will that be? There’s no set date, the aim is still for a 2019 release. I, for one, can’t wait.

The Witcher 3 launches on Nintendo Switch on October 15th
