OnePlus 8 Renders Show Punch Hole Camera, Curved Edges & Slim Bezels

The OnePlus 7T launch hasn’t happened in so many regions and we’re already seeing OnePlus 8 renders populate the internet. For those interested in skipping the current-gen devices from the manufacturer and picking this one up for 2020, OnePlus has potentially chosen a completely different design route and in just a few moments, you’ll see them.

Rear Side of the OnePlus 8 Doesn’t Look Any Different Than OnePlus 7 Pro, Unfortunately

According to leaked OnePlus 8 renders shared by @OnLeaks in collaboration with price comparison blog CashKaro, here’s a first glimpse of the company’s flagship for 2020. If this turns out to be true, and considering @OnLeaks’ impressive track record, it might, this would be the first time OnePlus would have adopted the punch-hole camera design. According to the renders, the OnePlus 8 will feature a single punch-hole unit at the front and if you observe carefully, it looks like the manufacturer will alter the front side of the flagship too.

The sides of the OnePlus 8 don’t appear to reveal a waterfall display like the ones we’ve seen on the newly launched Huawei Mate 30 Pro, but they are still curved enough for you to take notice. This design choice might make it difficult for a lot of users to grip to device as well as result in unintended touches, but it does add to the overall aesthetics score. The OnePlus 8 renders also reveal that the bezels on all four sides have reduced tremendously, but the backside displays a lot of similar traits to the OnePlus 7 Pro.

The triple rear camera array is in the same orientation as the pop-up camera flagship that was hurled into markets not too long ago, and we hope the OnePlus 8 is able to tout some impressive optics hardware to take on pricier flagships in 2020. Coming to the dimensions, the device is expected to measure around 160.2 x 72.9 x 8.1mm and the display part is said to measure 6.5 inches diagonally.

Sadly, there were no hardware specification details provided by @OnLeaks or CashKaro but thanks to the wave of Snapdragon 865 rumors we’ve been hearing about, it’s not difficult to imagine which SoC the OnePlus 8 will rely on. There’s also no 3.5mm audio jack in sight, suggesting that even the ‘Pro’ variant if there is any, might not be treated to this port either.

Sadly, apart from these OnePlus 8 renders, there’s not a whole lot we can give you in terms of relevant information, but stay tuned for more, and we’ll definitely have more updates in the future.
