Marvel’s Avengers Main Story Length Comparable to Previous Tomb Raider Games; 30 + Hours Including Side Content

Avengers main story length

Marvel’s Avengers main story length will be comparable to that of the previous Tomb Raider games, according to Crystal Dynamics.

Last week, Studio Head Scot Amos already said that the team has set the goal for players to be always engaged and never run out of stuff to do. In a new interview with Comicbook, the studio’s senior brand director, Rich Briggs, further expanded on the game’s content and the time that it will take players to complete the game.

Based on Briggs’ answer, players will be presented with a main story comparable to the previous Tomb Raider installments from Crystal Dynamics.

“I think it’ll depend on exactly how deep you want to go into it,” the brand director said. “So if you think about previous Crystal games, you know that if you want to be playing your way through the core story, it’s going to be in that area, 10 to 12 hours.”

Those who want to see everything there is in the game and complete all side-quests will have to sacrifice 30 hours or more of their precious time.

“But if you want to see everything there is, and do all the side missions and everything else, you’re generally looking at 30 plus hours in the Tomb Raider games,” Briggs said. “So we’re not putting exact numbers on it just yet, but you can expect something comparable to what we’ve done in the past with that regard. And then, of course, you have the extended narrative and the extended game plan, more heroes post-launch.”

Marvel’s Avengers releases on  PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia next year on May 15th, 2020.
