New iPhone 12 Renders Are a Treat to Look At; No Notch, Uniform Bezels All Around & a Design Trait Similar to iPhone 4

iPhone 12 Renders Highlight iPhone 4-Like Design, No Notch & More

It hasn’t even been a full month since the launch of the iPhone 11 series and the internet is already abuzz about the 2020 iPhones. While this year’s iPhones are apparently off to a good start, they aren’t really that different from last year’s if you’re talking about a pure design change. However, rumor has it that next year is when we will get to see a facelift and designer Ben Geskin has shared some iPhone 12 renders to provide a potential early glimpse into the future.

Geskin’s iPhone 12 renders are basically of the ‘Pro’ version, which is expected to start with a 5.4-inch display and is expected to make more compact than the 5.8-inch iPhone 11 Pro. For the next year, Apple is tipped to take some inspiration from the iPhone 4, which doesn’t have a metal frame surface and the renders seem to have reflected that accurately. Other than that, there is no notch on the phone, which is in line with rumors. Instead, earlier reports state that one 6.7-inch iPhone prototype is being tested with a slim bezel to house the Face ID components and TrueDepth sensor.

However, the back of the phone looks the same as the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which means you can still see the familiar square bump with three camera sensors. Lastly, the designer has also made the edges squarer, which, again, bodes well with rumors. As the iPhone 12 renders show, Apple’s next lineup will finally incorporate some changes, even if that simply means going back in time and borrowing some elements from the iPhone 4. The design of the iPhone has hardly changed since 2017 and thus it was about time that the Cupertino giant introduced some changes.

As for the internal upgrades, we can look forward to 5G connectivity as well as reverse wireless charging, both of which are highly anticipated features. As far as other things are concerned, we can expect to hear more rumors in the coming days so stay tuned for more. So tell us, would you prefer the 2020 iPhone range to be based on the latest renders? Tell us your thoughts down in the comments. For more impressive-looking renders, you should definitely check out Ben Geskin’s Twitter page.
